Now that you have an understanding of Flash MX, you should be able to develop a storyline. Create a more advanced animated clip using Macromedia FLASH MX. For the Flash Challenge you have 2 options to choose from:
Option 1:
Think about a short story idea that you’d like to try to animate using Flash. Where does your story take place (the background)? What/Who are the characters? What is happening to the characters over the course of the story? To tell your story incorporate a minimum of 3 scenes & a minimum of 600 frames.
See below for instructions….
Option 2:
Instead of ‘tweening’ an object, create a Flash clip where you have animated a simple stick person in every frame. Feel free to add a background, and you should have a minimum of 3 scenes to add interest to your video. for this option, you should aim for a minimum of 300 frames.
Option 1:
Use the following steps to create your “mini-story”:
Scene #1
i) Create your own ‘oversized’ background
ii) Establish a background pan (move the background left to right, or up to down)
iii) Have your character enter the story
Scene #2
i) Create a second background, or use a different pan of the first background.
ii) Have your character develop the story (what happens next?)
Scene #3
i) Create a third background, or again use a different pan of the first background.
ii) Have your character complete the story (what happens at the end?)
NOTE: A better story idea may require more than 3 scenes and/or more frames.
