The office at Northern Lights Secondary School will reopen on August 21 for registration. Grade 9 Orientation Day is Friday, August 25th for incoming Grade 9 students. The first day of classes for all students is Monday, August 28th. Have a safe, happy, and well-earned summer! See you in the fall!

Culminating Activities for all classes will be taking place from Monday, June 12-Thursday, June 15, 2023. Moosonee Community Pitch-in June 6: NLSS will be supporting the Town of Moosonee in the community pitch-in effort on Monday, June 6, 2022.  Students will be supporting the pitch-in during period 2, all students and staff will receive a free hot-dog lunch on that day. Thank you to all for making our community and school area a better place!

NLSS currently has 3 displays up in the school to recognize Red Dress Day, which brings awareness to Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls and 2-Spirited individuals. NLSS students and staff are encouraged to wear red on Friday, May 5, 2023 in recognition of this event.

The NLSS soccer program is scheduled to get under way on Monday, April 17, 2023.  88 NLSS staff and students are participating in this excellent healthy lifestyle activity!  The league is taking place Monday-Thursday after school at the Moosonee Arena until June 2, 2023.  Students from Moose Factory who are participating in games will be provided transportation home at 5 pm. The 2023 soccer schedule is attached to […]
