NLSS in Remote Learning from Jan. 5th to 8th
As was shared at the beginning of the holidays, NLSS will be pivoting to remote learning for the week of Tuesday, January 5th through to Friday, January 8th. NLSS is prepared for this transition as all students have been assigned NLSS Chromebooks and are members of Google Classroom environments in all classes.
Please be aware that this week’s schedule is:
- Tuesday, January 5th – Day 1
- Wednesday, January 6th – Day 2
- Thursday, January 7th – Day 1
- Friday, January 8th – Day 2
Daily Class Schedule:

| 11:15-12:05 pm | 15 min Wellness break with activity (School Google Classroom: NLSS Online Portal) |
| 12:05-2:00 pm | Period 2 (Use Google Classroom assigned by teacher) |
| 2:30-3:15 pm | Continuation of Learning Program |
NLSS staff will be moving forward with new learning throughout the week and conducting lessons through their Google Classroom environments. Lessons will take place at their scheduled times and attendance will be recorded for the week based on online engagement.
The Ministry of Education has shared that schools in the Porcupine Health Unit region, at this point in time, should be able to resume in-person learning on Monday, January 11th, 2020, if this changes an update will be provided.
